... Your food is still in batter/dough form.
Some of the most scrumptious treats begin their delectable journeys to your stomach as uncooked dough or batter. As any baker knows, desserts in this form are often at their most delicious. But what even the most avid home chefs might not know is that uncooked desserts are also calorie free! Before they are cooked, raw foods contain unactivated calories that sit harmlessly impotent until the heat of your oven turns them on. While you might prefer your cookies baked to gooey chocolate-chip perfection, in order to avoid post-dessert guilt you might want to consider a healthier option- raw cookie dough.
What about salmonella poisoning, you ask? One way to avoid this dangerous sickness is to make edible egg-less cookie dough, and abandon the idea of ever baking your cookies at all! Our favorite recipes can be found here. If you absolutely cannot avoid the temptation of actually baking your brownies and cupcakes, remember not to stress about sneaking a few spoonfuls of batter, licking your spatula clean, and scraping any batter remnants from your mixing bowl into your mouth. If it's not cooked yet, it doesn't count!
