... You're grazing the back table for snacks at work.

Working is hard. So is pretending to work while stalking your friends from junior high on Facebook. All those hours you spend hunched over in front of your computer, pretending to finish that report or review those spreadsheets, actually use up an immense amount of calories. That's why it's no wonder you find yourself perusing the break room for snacks every 15 minutes.

Luckily the workplace munchies don't add to your calorie totals for the day. Not only do you need some calories to replace all the ones you are using up with brain energy, but workplace snacks are also notoriously low calorie.

Even though you don't want to admit it, the tub of red vines you've been eating from was probably purchased in the last millennium. And that bagel you found in the back of a cupboard is in danger of being wholly swallowed up by mold. While these things might deter a less desperate worker, all the hard work you've been putting in has brought you to the brink of starvation- for the third time this morning.

Luckily, calories lose their potency as time goes by. Therefore, that older your licorice, bagel, or banana, the fewer calories it still contains. Workplace snacks are entirely necessary and conveniently old. Meaning that the calories from work food that you don't automatically burn off when working, still only add up to a tiny fraction of your day's requirements.
